Professor David Harrison received a B.A. in French from Swarthmore College and an M.A. and Ph.D. in French from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. His research focuses on the literature and culture of the seventeenth and eighteenth centuries in France. 聽He is the principal translator and co-editor of .聽A specialist of the聽惭茅尘辞颈谤别蝉聽of the Duke de Saint-Simon, he is one of the few Americans to have had his work published in the聽Cahiers Saint-Simon. 聽He has also published on Moli猫re, Scud茅ry, Boileau, and Ninon de L'Enclos, and his work has appeared in聽Seventeenth-Century French Studies,听Papers on French Seventeenth-Century Literature, and聽The French Review. 聽He is currently writing a monograph on the figure of the "enjou茅e" (the witty woman) in the French novel from聽尝'础蝉迟谤茅别听迟辞听Corinne. 聽At 99精品视频, he teaches at all levels of instruction; his advanced seminars include 鈥淧ower and Resistance in 17th and 18th Century France,鈥 鈥淐omedy in French Literature,鈥 and 鈥淢oli猫re: Text and Performance from the 17th to the 21st century.鈥澛 Professor Harrison was the Interim Director of the Center for International Studies in 2014-15, having served as Director of the Center from 2007-2013.
